Employee Handbooks are Boring.

Is there some corporate memo out there that states they need to look so bland?

Employee handbooks are prime real estate for one of the most important consumers of your brand: your employees!

Oftentimes, these handbooks are the first thing that an employee interacts with as they join your company.

Here are a few reasons why investing in a well-designed handbook can benefit your company:

Positive First Impression:

Give your employees a feeling of excitement for working there. New hires are more likely to feel welcome and valued when they receive a handbook that is professional and easy to understand.

Increase Employee Engagement:

A well-designed handbook with clear visuals and engaging content is more likely to be read and retained by employees. If it’s something nice to look at, chances are they will spend the time reading it, and referencing it as needed.

Improved Brand Image:

A beautiful handbook reflects a company's commitment to professionalism and attention to detail. It shows new hires that you take pride in your company culture and that you value clear communication.

Boosted Employee Morale:

A well-designed handbook can be a signal that the company cares about its employees and their experience. This can lead to increased morale.

I had the opportunity to work with Copa Design and one of their clients, to create an employee handbook in the style of a magazine - and it was amazing.

What started as a standard 34-page employee document, was turned into a full-spread magazine, with photos and beautifully displayed content.

Whether it's 5 pages or 60 pages, every project should have the opportunity to look like a work of art!
